I’ve been really flaky this summer and I have no excuse for it other than a) work has been super busy because it’s tourist season and b) I’m lazy.  I let my technology problems in July get me out of the daily posting schedule and now that everything has been resolved I’ve kept on with my laziness.  But I have some exciting announcements to make up for it:

1.  I will be posting consistently because I’ve made an effort now to catch up in my reading and all blog-related general maintenance.

2.  Tomorrow I’m going to rant on something more than a little controversial.  Yay, rants!  I haven’t had one in ages.

3.  I’m at 996 followers, which means I’m going to have my big 1000 follower giveaway any day now.  When I do, you should stick around because the prizes are pretty awesome.

So basically I’m sorry for the random inconsistency and I promise it’s going away.  Thanks for sticking through it though guys; you’re awesome.

So in the past few weeks, almost everything that could possibly go wrong with the technology in my house has.  My modem crapped out, both my regular computer and my old backup wouldn’t turn on, my router had issues and to top it all off, my old computer screen died.  It’s not like I bought the cheapest pieces of crap on the market either, which makes this whole thing so baffling.

I finally think I’m done with tech problems for a little while.  I have a new modem, a new screen, a new router and both of my computers have been fixed.  Now hopefully the gremlins move on to some other poor victim and leave me the heck alone!

I know most of you guys that follow my blog are American, but today I’m not going to post much because it’s Canada day.  I am, after all, celebrating it the traditional way: by sleeping in and then watching British and American TV shows.

Actually I’m going down to watch the parade later and then I’m going to help set up the fireworks for this evening.  I love fire and I especially love fireworks, which is why I end up helping set up the fireworks pretty much every year.  Yep, my life is tough.

In between this I’ll eventually be posting my Best and Worst of June post but it’ll be a couple of hours.

I know it’s annoying when a blog you follow posts consistently then suddenly posts at erratic times and misses a couple of days in a row.  That’s why I’m so grateful for you all for sticking by me during my tech problem saga of epic proportions.  I won’t trouble you with my latest problems but they involve a ten-year-old modem working better than a brand new one.  Ugh.

I’ve got things mostly figured out so you guys can expect me to finally be back on schedule this week and for my post times to be semi-consistent, if not completely consistent once more.
