Shunned by a family that doesn’t understand him, demigod Lenka Tahile aka “Swindle” is a complete loner and he likes it that way. Then he meets the hero, Ace Remedy, the brother of an infamous demigod Prince, and his life goes from bad to worse. Ace is loud, rude, and disruptive to his peaceful existence in every way. He’s also hilarious and daring, and Swindle ends up finding a friend just when he thought he’d never have another.

But little does he know, becoming friends with Ace was all part of the Fates’ plan. Now his past is slowly coming back to haunt him and there’s nothing he can do to stop it. Nothing but try not to bring to light the lost love, the failed hopes, and the cursed existence that he would kill to keep in the dark.

Five Facts about Hero, Cursed

1. Lenka Tahile is a South African name. The MC was born in South Africa.
2. “Swindle” is Lenka’s celestial name. He is a son of Hermes. Figure it out.
3. The hawk on the cover is not a tattoo. His name is Bill and he’s Swindle’s Fauna Morph, an animal that morphs into a weapon on command.
4. Though it isn’t showcased on the cover, Swindle has extremely curly hair. Out of control, I tell you.
5. Just like Solar, Defeated, this novella switches back and forth between the present and the past, and reveals what life was like for Swindle before the Oracle of Delphi came along.

Diantha Jones was born the day thousands of turkeys sacrificed their lives to fill millions of American bellies on November 22 which also happened to be Thanksgiving Day (Her mother says she owes her a turkey). She is a Journalism graduate who wants to be a career novelist (of books, not Facebook posts). When not writing or working, she is reading on her Nook, being hypnotized by Netflix or on a mission to procure french fries.

The Oracle of Delphi fantasy series is her first series. She is also the author of Mythos: Stories from Olympus, a companion series, and there is another fantasy series in the works. She also writes (new) adult fantasy/paranormal romance under the name A. Star. Invasion (An Alien Romance) is her first title released under this pen name. Future releases under A. Star include, Mythos: Gods and Lovers series, the Love & Steampunk series, the Purr, Inc. stories, and more.

Cover Reveal: Spark by Anthea Sharp

Feyguard; Spark by Anthea SharpSuperstar gamer Spark Jaxley’s life might look easy, but she’s part of an elite few who guard a shocking secret; the Realm of Faerie exists, and its dark magic is desperate for a foothold in the mortal world.

Aran Kells hacks code and sells his gaming cheats on the black market. It’s barely a living, and one he’s not proud of. But when he turns his skills to unlocking the secrets behind Feyland—the most exciting and immersive game on the market—he discovers power and magic beyond his wildest dreams.

Spark’s mission is clear; pull Aran from the clutches of the fey folk and restore the balance between the worlds. But can she risk her life for someone who refuses to be rescued?

Yes, I realize I haven’t even published my reviews of Anthea Sharp’s last two books in the Feyland trilogy (although I have read them!), but I couldn’t resist doing a cover reveal for the spin-off trilogy Feyguard.  Will we see Tam and Jennet again?  Who knows with these new characters?

Feyguard: Spark will release sometime at the end of November of this year, although Anthea Sharp doesn’t have an exact date just quite yet.  If you have no idea what I’m talking about, check out Spark on Goodreads or read my review of the first of Anthea Sharp’s books, Feyland: The Dark Realm.

Cover Reveal: Starlet’s Light by Carla J. Hanna

Starlet'sLightCover_smToday is the official launch day of Starlet’s Light by Carla J. Hanna!  Starlet’s Light is the third in the Starlet series and I can tell you it’s going to be a great addition to the series.  With a greater focus on the effects of the Hollywood lifestyle and how actors and actresses cope, Carla Hanna has written yet another thought-provoking book.

As a way to celebrate the launch of Starlet’s Light, the Kindle edition will be free on Amazon for 5 days, starting today (May 6).  Even if you haven’t already read the first two books, take this opportunity to download the third one.  You can always buy the first two and in my opinion, it’s a pretty safe investment.  If you don’t like the first, you don’t have to buy the second and you can just delete the third.  But act now and get your copy of Starlet’s Light for free.

Cover Reveal: The Show by John Heldt

The Show by John HeldtYou know, I like John Heldt’s covers.  They’re nice and simple and actually have something to do with the story.  But what I like more than the covers, obviously, are the books themselves.  That’s why I’m proud to present the cover real for the third of five books in John Heldt’s Northwest Passage series: The Show, which releases sometime on the week of February 17.

I can’t say much without giving everything away, but The Show is a direct sequel to The Mine.  Personally, I can’t wait to have some of my remaining questions about Joel and Grace answered.  If you haven’t already, go check out my reviews of The Mine and The Journey.  Maybe you’ll find something to add to your reading list for the weekend.
